Ron Paul Hopes Minnesota Caucus Will Be First 2012 Win

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-- Ron Paul was making his final appeal for Minnesota Republican caucus votes with drop-ins at two sites where ballots will be cast Tuesday.

The 76-year-old Texas congressman with particular appeal among younger voters has invested days of campaigning and money for television ads ahead of caucuses in Minnesota, where he hopes to eke out the first win of his presidential campaign.

He planned a caucus-night party outside Minneapolis.

Paul's strategy is to concentrate on caucus states where he can amass national convention delegates even if he doesn't win. He has hit on anti-war themes and cast himself as the candidate most committed to cutting government spending.

Paul finished fourth in Minnesota four years ago. Mitt Romney won the contest in 2008.

I don't understand how the neocons have the upper hand when a just released national Reuturs poll shows Ron Paul at a clear 2nd place behind Romney.

Perhaps you should learn how to read, it's a 3 way tie for second place.

Romney: 29 percent;
Paul: 21 percent;
Gingrich: 19 percent;

Unfortnately, most people over 40 haven't heard of Ron Paul giving him slim chances for victory. Thank the MSM for that.

A lot of 40+ have heard on RP. The problem being is that they are also old enough to remember the 50's and 60's and are not to fond of having paul take us back to that time.
