Love Spindrift Inn! We went there for our honeymoon. Very friendly staff and gorgeous room. Breakfast brought each morning on a silver tray to be eaten in front of the fire. They brought us free wine the first night, and there were wine and cheese receptions every afternoon. Right on Monterey Bay...so pretty! I could go on and on.

We went to Spindrift Inn for our honeymoon. Best hotel I've ever stayed in! So nice! I would recommend to anyone.

Give me a tent in Kauai and my date and I would be happy. It is the most beautiful place on earth and I've been to many. I've had enough of foreign travel. The north shore of Kauai has many romantic condos at reasonable rates. Pick a small ma/pa condo in Hanalei or Princeville. With our sour economy, we should patronize U.S. vacation spots (just my opinion).

My son and his wife like the County Clare on the chic lower east side of Milwaukee. The rooms are mini-suites in red and white (nice for Valentine's Day). There are jacuzzi's in every room and the price is right at about $100-$125 per night. Adjoining is an Irish pub/restaurant with great food and drink. Next store is an intimate restaurant called Christopher's.

The night life in that area is super. The problem is, that when people travel to Milwaukee, they watch a baseball game and go directly home, not knowing what this city has to offer.

oh yeah i forgot-
Kingmill resort in williamsbirg VA! Its in a gated community, and is lovely! It borders teh james river which is just beautiful. The rooms are quite nice (the suites esp!-they have fireplaces and a kitchen!). They all either have a little deck or balcony and all very very private. There are pleanty of places to walk with your sweetie, including a flower tour, for which you can get info at the front desk. and if you like golf, they have i think 3 courses....well there is at least one anyway. There is a little beach area near on the james as well. NOt to mention it is right next door to busch gardens (the europe theme is quite romantic), and colonial williamsburg! It is a short drive to VA beach, and other amazing attractions (like nature museams, and historical sights), also! They are fairly pricey-but the setting and service is worth it!

I stayed at Starfish Manor in Lincoln City about 3 years ago, and it looks exactly like the picture. Very nice rooms and private beach access... great place.

If anyone likes some romance in New England, I highly recommend the Brass Key located in Provincetown, MA. The hotel is comprised of something like six buildings in a gated compound surrounding an Infiniti pool and a huge hot tub. Very nice staff, beautiful rooms (usually in a Victorian or nautical decor since Ptown was formerly an old fishing village). Prices off season are pretty reasonable too.

Inn of the Dove??? I went there years ago and it was so "cheesy"! Unless it has changed over the year, I can't see how it could possibly be one of the most romantic hotels.
