Pete Hoekstra's Controversial, Racist Super Bowl Ad Gets Parodied (VIDEO)

Michigan Senatorial candidate Pete Hoekstra raised some eyebrows on Sunday when he ran an ad locally during the Super Bowl that most people are calling racist.

He raised even more eyebrows Monday by speaking in defense of the ad, and claiming that "it doesn't criticize the Chinese at all."

Since the racism in the first ad is so subtle and imperceptible to Hoekstra's camp, our friends over at Funny Or Die decided to make a little parody in the spirit of the original. Something tells us this one wouldn't have made it to air.

Some people have real problems. What is wrong with the people in this country lately?
Never watched the Superbowl but I can see how this parody would offend nobody, unless you like your flag upside down like I do.

This was actually a bit more subtle than the original, at least it had some lines that were a bit funny, unlike the original.

Humor is a good way to counter the right wing folks. Colbert and Stewart make a good living at it. Plus they point out using satire the problems with the GOP and their minions.

well........to be fair, the chinese, even those that are "chinese-american," can be pretty racist at times.

actually, this can be true of all asians.

btw, i'm asian. and sad to say, i do have lingering prejudices myself, mostly carried over from my parents, and their parents and their parents' parents.

but i'm also liberal, and so any prejudices that may pop into my head, i always cast away with a rationality and good sense.

We all have racist tendencies to be honest. For instance, I'm black and my girlfriend is white and sometimes I wish I could complain about white people to her lol. On her side, I decided that I wanted to buy a painting of an old Cotton Club dance and she said she "doesn't want that thing in her house". I asked her why and she gave me this look as to say... "you know". It was pretty funny.
