Blue Ivy Carter Already Has Famous Friends, Copyrighted Name

Posted: Updated:

It pays to have famous friends? Gwyneth Paltrow, overeager gal pal of Beyonce and Jay-Z, reportedly splurged on a decadent gift for the couple's baby girl. According to Life & Style magazine, Paltrow picked up a fancy Bugaboo Cameleon stroller for baby Blue. The stroller retails for $1,029; Paltrow's apparently been a fan of it for some time now.

This is the latest in some extravagant-sounding claims surrounding the one-month-old infant. If we are to believe everything, baby Blue's arrival on this planet was heralded by her own 2,200-square-foot nursery, a custom million-dollar Mercedes minivan, an entourage of six nannies, her own "Glory" song by Daddy and even her own trademark. That's right: According to the Washington Post, her famous parents filed an application to trademark her name at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on January 26.
