Jeremy Lin, Landry Fields Handshake: Knicks Players Have Odd Routine (VIDEO)

When the Knicks picked up point guard Jeremy Lin there wasn't anyone forecasting the Linsanity that has descended upon the NBA. Having played only sparingly as a rookie with the Golden State Warriors last season, the Harvard grad was hardly a sure thing.

In fact, one of the only things that anyone could have claimed with any confidence when Lin joined the Knicks was that he could be paired with Stanford alum Landry Fields to form the backcourt with the best SAT scores in the NBA. Not doing much to alter opinions about them being the team's nerds, Lin and Fields have been using a handshake that seems more apt to be used at a MENSA meeting than an AAU game.

I think the internet is grinding to a halt with everyone playing Whitney, but maybe it is the confluence of Lin and Whitney which brings the far east into the picture. Has the Oscar Robertson returned in a 21st Century iteration?
