The Office of Congressional Ethics has found no evidence of violations of insider trading against Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-Ala), one of the most powerful politicians on Capitol Hill, who has been a frequent trader, purchasing stock options while supervising the nation’s banking and financial services industries. The fact he was friends with then Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernake and that he met in closed-door sessions had nothing to do with his making hugh profits in September, 2008. Bachus said a person would have to be crazy not to know the economy was in a mess. OHH YEAH

He has a predator's face if ever I've seen one, not to mention the permanent sneer time has engraved upon it.

Right! He can hardly wait to get his "day in court" to clear his name; and when that doesn't work he'll just chose to spend more time with his family.

Clearly someone is envious of his success. Typical liberal witch hunt against anyone getting ahead of the herd by being exceptional

If you don't like what he's doing to earn his livelihood, then man up and get yourself elected and then YOU can have the opportunity to make that kind of money.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! We just hate it when somebody in a position of trust profits immensely by gaming the system they are supposed to guard from just such an act.
" These capitalists generally act harmoniously and in concert to fleece the people, and now that they have got into a quarrel with themselves, we are called upon to appropriate the people's money to settle the quarrel.
Speech to Illinois legislature, (January 1837); This is "Lincoln's First Reported Speech", found in the Sangamo Journal (28 January 1837) according to McClure's Magazine (March 1896); also in Lincoln's Complete Works (1905) ed. by Nicolay and Hay, Vol. 1, p. 24."

Well now...let's talk about insider trading for a bit....http://freebeacon.com/warren-buffetts-net-worth-jumps-154m-thanks-to-mortgage-settlement/

Yes there is corruption on both sides. It just seems as though Republicans constantly regurgitate a faux projection of biblical morality when it comes to doing the right thing..... (ethical values family values etc). So, it is only fitting that they are crucified when they do wrong.

Heller

And why exactly, in your mind, is any of this relevant to the point about Buffet?

But since you brought this other stuff up, do you understand CAUSE and EFFECT?

If so please PROVE your point.

Based on the reckless and wanton behaviors of many GOP members and operatives, there will be a repeat perfomance of the 2006 Republican scandal. By the way, what is the status of the investigation of the former Senator from NV, John Ensign? When is Tom DeLay reporting to prison?

....I welcome this opportunity to present the facts and set the record straight,” Bachus said

........this statement is usually made JUST before they resign......or are arrested........

What part of 'Above The Law' do you people not understand? Federally elected officials are exempt from the law. And if for some insane reason one of them is convicted of indicted, a presidential pardon is automatic. It's politics, baby!
