Thanks to T-Mobile's Valentine's Day special, this usually pricey gift won't cost you a penny, as long as you mail in a rebate and sign a new two-year contract.
T-Mobile has announced that this Saturday, February 11, participating stores across the country will offer popular smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Amaze 4G and Nokia Lumia 710 for free. If you really want to score some points with your significant other, you can also pick up the T-Mobile SpringBoard tablet for no cost at all -- a steal, to say the least.
"T-Mobile has a commitment to make the 4G experience affordable and accessible to everyone, so this sweet deal on smartphones and tablets is our Valentine's gift to consumers," explained John Clelland, T-Mobile's senior vice president of marketing in the U.S., per the company release. "No matter where loved ones live, T-Mobile wants to bring them closer with unlimited talking, photo sharing, video chatting, texting, and more."
While these unlimited perks are available to most T-Mobile customers, unfortunately, this one-time Valentine's Day deal to get up to three brand new smartphones or tablets for free "won't apply to existing T-Mobile customers who haven't been with the company 18 months," according to PCMag.com.
Despite this small catch, with this near-unbeatable deal, T-Mobile may be stealing the show this Valentine's Day. But that hasn't stopped Verizon from once again pushing their double-data promotion for 4G smartphones, which they first offered back in November.
Signing up for a two-year contract with Verizon this Friday, February 10, gets new customers double the data allotment for the usual price, a deal that will last as long as they have a Verizon 4G smartphone, said Verizon spokesman Ken Muche, as reported by the LA Times.
Whatever service you choose, this weekend may be your best bet at getting a great smartphone deal for your significant other (or for yourself) just in time for Valentine's Day.
