Watch The First 'Wizard Of Oz' Adapted Film From 1910 (VIDEO)

We've all seen Judy Garland follow the yellow brick road in the 1939's classic film, "The Wizard Of Oz," and hopefully most of us have seen Diana Ross ease on down the road in 1978's "The Wiz." But it was news to us that the first film adaptation of Frank L. Baum's classic was actually a silent film made in 1910.

The short film has a few key differences. Instead of Toto the dog we have "Imogen," a semi-lovable cow. The evil witch is not referred to asThe Wicked Witch of the West but is instead named "Mambo." Also, for some reason unknown to us there are a lot of donkeys involved. Much of the details of the film remain a mystery, including the name of the director, though it is rumored to be Otis Turner.
