Channing Tatum 'The Vow': Actor Talks Film, Gives Marriage Advice

What Channing Tatum Learned From 'The Vow'

Channing Tatum opened up about what his new film, "The Vow," has taught him about life and love.

"We never want to actually say this in the movie, but it's about the whole adage of 'if you love something, let it go, and if it's yours it will come back to you,'" he told The Hollywood Reporter at the Los Angeles premiere of the film this week.

Tatum stars as Leo, a husband who tries to get his wife, Paige (played by Rachel McAdams), to fall back in love with him after a car accident leaves her with a brain injury that erases her memory of the last five years of her life, including their marriage. The film was inspired by real-life couple Kim and Krickitt Carpenter.

"I've been married for two and a half years and if my wife forgot me all of a sudden, I wouldn't know what to do," said Tatum, who is married to actress Jenna Dewan. "I don't think anybody would."

"The Vow" hits theaters Friday. Watch the trailer below.
