The Yanqing Ice Festival Presents Dazzling Rainbow Ice City (PHOTOS)

A Rainbow City Made Of Ice

The Yanqing Ice Festival is a tradition that wraps up the Lunar New Year Celebrations in Beijing. And nothing says 'grand finale' quite like a life-size rainbow city made entirely of ice, right? The Guardian called the ice festival in the northern city of Harbin "Narnia on acid," so we can only imagine what it was like to experience it in Beijing.

Children from all over the world flocked to the festival all bundled up to witness the fireworks, climb up the ice walls and wander through ice tunnels. Fairy lights adorned the ceiling to complete the magical introduction to the Year of the Dragon. We just can't stop ogling this giant popsicle city, and we bet that you'll experience a similar reaction when you view the slideshow below. Happy (Lunar) New Year, everyone!
