CPAC 2012: HuffPost Meets 4-Year-Old Wearing 'I Only Cry When Democrats Hold Me' Shirt (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON -- During our video live streams on Thursday and Friday at the 2012 Conservative Political Action Conference, HuffPost reporter Zach Carter spoke with a wide array of speakers and attendees. The youngest was a 4-year-old dressed in a "I only cry when Democrats hold me" T-shirt.

"The Romney shirt was too big," her mother said, holding the little girl, Naomi. "So we got this one."

CPAC is a major annual event for the conservative movement that helps shape the relationship between voters in the Republican base and the D.C. political establishment. GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney spoke Friday at the conference, as well as fellow candidates Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich.

Before concluding the interview, Naomi's mother showed off her daughter's T-shirt again. "I only cry when Democrats hold me," the mom repeated. "Thankfully it's not when Democrats interview me."

Zach Carter is not a Democrat.

This little girl is too young to read the fine print of the No Child Left Behind act that was created by Repugnantncans. The social and religious conservatives are obsessed with protecting the pre-born (zygotes and fetuses), but they don't give a damn about a child who is in pre-school. This African-American girl won't be of any concern to Republicans again for many years until she is of military age (18-22) to fight their wars (Iraq and Afghanistan) for them. I understand the logic of Republicans: they want the zygote to become a living baby so that it can grow up to become a dead soldier. There is also the issue of becoming a member of their conservative religion. Ugh!

Instead of having her on video claiming that she hates Democrats, she needs to learn how to be a decent mom and comb her hair.....at least a Democrat would have informed her that it is extremely important for young Black girls to have their hair combed and neat before spewing ignorant nonsense...only on the right...

My goodness when that child turns 18 she will be a democrat. She will speak about how that T-shirt made her feel and blame her Mom for making her wear that T. She will then smile and say her mother has now seen the light votes with the democrats and furthermore she is happy that Cory is now the new President of the United States. She hopes that he will do as good of job as President Obama did in his two terms. As for CPAC , her Mom stop going after they wanted to make all adopted children minority be the wall for the border and also the weed producer.

There will always be people who succeed and those who fail, not everyone gets a trophy. If you think Obama is doing a good job you're are a complete fool. Brainwashing comes to mind or those poor little Black children I see with Caucasian women who just do not know what to do with their hair. It does seem like a travesty to be culturally ignorant and yet indulge in physical acts with person who are of another ethnicity than oneself and either produce or adopt their children yet have no clue how to empower them so they can lead self directed lives with a strong sense of who they are and the unlimited freedom that it will imbue them with.
