HuffPost Food has rounded up some of the more "out there" heart-shaped foods, just in case you want to think a little out-of-the-box when it comes to Valentine's Day dining.

Other than the vegetables, these foods are mostly contributing to heart disease. "Oh. Honey. I just love my heart shaped steak and ravioli. Do you think they'll have heart shaped beds at the hospital? That would be so romantic."

wow-a special treat on valentines day isnt gonna kill you!

everything in moderation! a steak is very nutritous also.....so not sure what your problem is there.....you need to have one once in a while-esp if you are a woman who has regular peroids-need to replace that iron! animal meat is teh only nutritional source of vitamin B-12 also. Oh not to mention protien is necessary for proper metabolism....

ravioli wih low fat cheese gives you calcium!

if i were you i would have singled out the doghnuts and cake as nutritionally deficient! BUT-like i said-spluring for valentines day wont kill you, and its kinda something many people look forward to. You need to have spurge days to maintain healthy eating teh rest of the time!

How does ravioli contribute to heart disease? It's just stuffed pasta.

woah what's up with the cucumbers? I'd like a heart-shaped pickle, if that's the case.
07:11 AM on 02/13/2012
i know they dont explain any of these! weird "article"-strongly lacking!

Of course I meant Watermelon. Sheesh, I need to wake up.

The cucumbers and the water mellow are formed while they grow. There is a form in which they place the fruit or vegetable and as it grows it grows into the shape of the form.

Sometimes you'll see square watermelons done this way. Or pumpkins with faces grown into them. It's fun.

Why wouldn't you expect steak to be in the shape of a heart? Oh...because you don't know that the heart is made of muscle, and steak is muscle?

Also, why wouldn't you expect baked goods to be in the shape of a heart, when you can make them into pretty much any shape you want.

Utter fail, HuffPost. Utter Fail.

Exactly! You beat me to it.

"Heart-Shaped Foods That You Wouldn't Expect" is a horrible title. With the exception of the watermelon, none of these are "unexpected." All it takes is a mold, cookie cutter, etc. and the potato and steak are oftentimes found in a heart-like shape.

None of these foods are in the shape of a heart.
