We have lost a legend.

The AP has confirmed that Whitney Houston has passed away. The 48-year-old singer was more than just a superstar--she was a icon.

Houston recorded seven albums and won an incredible 22 American Music Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, six Grammy Awards and two Emmy Awards.

For nearly 30 years we have been captivated by Houston and her impressive career--controversies included.

Beyond her unforgettable voice, Houston was praised and idolized for her sensational style. Houston could work a sequin gown, LBD or even a track suit with the same amount of confidence and pizzazz.

She was a certified "diva" in the most affectionate, positive and glamorous use of the word.

As we take this time to reflect on Houston's amazing life and career--we've complied a slideshow of some of our favorite style moments from the legend. She will be missed.

She had even better style than Princess Diana.

Please let her rest in peace there's no need to know why or how she passed, we all know how she lived. Whitney tried to change her life and that's all we need to know. She even came out with a new CD and if you didn't know she was making music with her baby girl. Put your energy in praying for that baby (Bobbi Kristina) and the rest of the family to get through the lost of Whitney Houston. I wish you and your family comfort and know that Whitney no long has to fight her demons God has called her home. Love Ms Adore

Thirty one pictures and not one meat dress or with her but t or breasts hanging out. Oh yeah that's because Whitney had dignity and a touch of class.

I wish more of today's young female singers understood what true sexy looks like. Whitney pulled it off effortlessly. I wish she had ditched the wigs but I guess hair issues will take a long time to go away.

We've certainly lost an amazing talent. And she looked beautiful even when her clothes did not. I wish (in retropsect) that she had sometimes let her hair just be natural? From those early photos you can really see what it was, but I suppose someone told her it 'wasn't professional' so she got rid of it. Pity! Yes, it's very sad knowing that she's gone.
