Walkers balance budget?
The settlement between the states and the banks totaled 26 billion dollars. Of that 26 billion, Wisconsin is slated to receive 140 million. Sixty million will be distributed in the form of loan modifications for current homeowners, 17.2 million will be a part of these payments for Wisconsinites who lost their homes through servicing abuses, 31.3 million will be used for refinancing benefits for eligible borrowers who are still making payments but are underwater on their mortgages and 31.6 million should go to the state to be used to protect this from happening again and compensate the state for any loses from the mortgage crisis.
Of the 31.6 million dollars going to the state, 25.6 million that will go to closing a budget shortfall.
“What budget shortfall?”

In October, Wisconsin’s Legislative Fiscal Bureau had projected the state would reach the end of the end of the two-year budget in July 2013 with a $73 million surplus. But on the same day the mortgage agreement was announced, the Wisconsin’s Legislative Fiscal Bureau announced they had re-evaluated the state’s financial standing. The state will end the two-year budget term with $143 million shortfall. Why a projected $272.8 million decrease in estimated tax collections. But that couldn’t have anything to do with the $117 million in tax breaks Walker gave away at the beginning of last year as he was in the process of stripping collective-bargaining rights, could it?

Poor Scott Walker, he has to suck off the Koch
boys to get ahead, they stand behind him
strong and firm and he will bend over backwords
for them. He goes down for them, he goes up for
them, east to west. Governor Walker has proven
himself to take those Koch's and let them do as
please. He has a firm grasp on those Koch's,
and he won't let go. Even if the fisherdude begs him
to let go.

This recall is all about union dues collection and the control the union leaders have enjoyed for years over the government through the Democrats they helped elect. These union leaders could care less about the financial stability of Wisconsin unless it goes so far into bankruptcy that it is affecting them directly. Keep in mind that the unions had the Democrats in the state government collecting their union dues for them automatically, whether or not the public service employee wanted to be in a union or not. Walker changed that and the union has to collect its own dues and they do not like it because they now have to actually do some work for their huge salaries (some make close to $500,000 per year). The latest polls show Walker will survive the recall election primarily because most people in Wisconsin think he is delivering on his promises, which gives him a lot of creditibility.

everyone knows the gop/tp cannot count, as e idenced by the primaries and caucuses they have been holding and their budgets of 2000-2008.

Why the Scott Walker recall?
For union bosses, it's all about the dues ---
Hundreds of millions of $$$$$ - that unions use to buy Democrats.
Given a CHOICE between paying dues and NOT and works choose - not - by a vast majority.
Union Bosses loose their money "honey pot" and they loose their ability to bribe Democrats.
Simple - Follow the money....

follow the money?

Let's see - Kochbros money. Bear Stearns money. Wackenhut money.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker plans on NOT using the mortgage money received from the Federal Government to help homeowners, he's using the money to help balance his state's budget.

I wish 13K people would volunteer to help fight homelessness or poverty. They have more volunteers than Republicans that voted in the entire Maine Caucus, that's kinda cool, its too bad however that the number of volunteers also is nearly the same as the net jobs created in 1 year by their dear leader. Its also a little sad that no one informed them that their efforts are fruitless as the data they collect can't be used. Hopefully after Walker and Fitz are gone they will still have the volunteer drive in their hearts and can dedicate their time toward something fruitful.

This only goes to prove that lots and lots of people in Wisconsin have loads of free time on their hands. Maybe they should take up bowling or tennis, something they can actually win every once in a while. What a bunch of losers!

"After one year in office, a net increase of 13,500 jobs in Wisconsin." Wisconsin has lost jobs for the last 5 month in a row. Why would anybody want to keep this guy in office? The country as a whole gained About 250 net jobs - that's an average of 50K per state - but Wisconsin lost jobs. And of course Walker cut taxes for the richest - so there's no money to pay for things like roads or school improvements (which would add jobs). What a fool this guy is.

13,000 volunteers?

Somehow I think the Koch's are making it worth their while.
10:14 PM on 02/12/2012
Walker's total net jobs added since he's been in office = 13,500
So 500 new jobs, and 13,000 paid 'volunteers' courtesy of the Koch bros.

You know - last month the US added 250,000 net jobs - an average of 50K per state.
Wisconsin lost jobs last month, and has lost jobs every month for the last five months.
12:06 AM on 02/13/2012
Gee... We had 30,000 or so getting the signatures. That says something really interesting about the relative numbers involved.

It's disgusting what the Democrats and unions are doing to Gov.Walker, who's done nothing but try and help get his state's economy back to a managable level. The Democrats couldn't care less how much debt there is or who has to pay this debt, as long as their friends in the unions are happy.
The fact that elections don't seem to matter to these people just adds to the contempt so many have for the Wisconsin Democrats and leave many wondering why the GOP can't recall ALL of the elected Democrats in this state, who have no concern about any of it's taxpayers, only the leeches who take money from the pockets of the rest of the population.

That is what happens when the lemmings are tuned into the right wing talk radio and fox news propaganda machines and fall for the lies hook, line, and sinker to destroy their own nation and freedoms, liberties, rights, and livelihoods. Wonder what they will do when they find out they were betrayed, if they can even figure that one out?

We have moved WAY beyond this kind of nonsense. If you lived here, you would understand what's at stake.
Thank you for illustrating again how uninformed most people are about what's really happening in Wisconsin. Now if you would be so kind as to post elsewhere....
