Holy high street!
Michelle Williams totally surprised fashion critics when she chose an H&M dress for Sunday's BAFTAs red carpet. After choosing high-fashion designers like Jason Wu and Valentino, Williams stepped out in a bespoke H&M creation (a.k.a. you won't find it at your local H&M), accented with a black flower at the waist.
The look, though completely original, was simple and understated to the point of underwhelming. But the "My Week With Marilyn" star gave the ensemble a pop with strong crimson lips, a playful Olympia Le-Tan "book" clutch and a Fred Leighton for Forevermark Diamond Line and Black Chord necklace.
And on a red carpet sagging under the weight of boring and/or ill-fitting fashion choices (see a full red carpet roundup here), that's no small feat.
