NEW YORK -- Adele's songs about breakups and heartache have made her a multi-Grammy award winner but she insists she's done with all that.

In an interview featured in the March issue of Vogue magazine, the 23-year-old says people think she's "miserable" because of her songs like "Someone like you" and "Rolling in the Deep." She also finds people are "surprised" when they meet her because she's not melancholy like her music. In fact, the singer vows to "never" write a breakup record again and adds she's "done being a bitter witch."

Adele has a lot to be happy about. She won six Grammy awards Sunday night, including record and album of the year. "21" was 2011's best-selling album.

The March issue of Vogue goes on sale Feb. 21.

That's pretty classless and tacky. Yeah just when emaciated Karl Lagerfeld and that lame passe' Noel Gallagher from Oasis said she was too fat to win awards...

By the way skinny hot chicks get their fill of being jilted. That LIST is bigger that Adele's waistline.

OH YEAH did YOU NOTICE she dropped a solid 50lbs...sheesh!

You should be thanking her SURGEON.....Elton John had multiple throat polyps removed in 1986 and it cost him the upper register (high notes)..he can't hit them anymore..Stevie Nicks had similiar surgery...esxcept she still sounds like a GOAT...i guess the surgery was successful lol

Aden is REAL and so is her music... Even if you didn't just go through a break-up, you have in the past or you will at some point in ur life lose a person you love and you will find yourself listening to Adels music..... not only does it have good sound and beat but it is real and true and will relate to your situation no matter what or how it happened, so ya IM A FAN! :) Keep up the good work girl and it doesnt matter what people think about you because they r still listening to ur great music either way!!!! Just be true to yourself and be you!!!! WE love ya!!!

That's exactly right. The percentage of breakups is about half, and it's been a bit higher I believe.

Adele is WAAAYYYYYYy OVERRATED. Nice voice - but much of her music SUCKS!!! But that is true of MOST artists these days. The tributes to WHITNEY HOUSTON, BRUNO MARS, AND SPRINGSTEEN were the only parts of the Grammys I FOUND INTRESTING!!

Actually I'm 33. I just happen to like music from the 60's-90's better than today's. And Yes - Lorenda1 - I'll take the oldies station ANY DAY over the Top 40 station!!

I'm way out of the "supposed" target age group and fyi, I think she's great. Leave age out of it - it's all a matter what every individual likes - and what their taste is - if we all liked the same thing, it would be a very boring world. We wouldn't have anything to blog about.

You might think she's "overrated", but millions of fans and album sales would disagree. I agree with jnni13, you might not be the audience she's singing to. To find the tunes you might like, try the oldies station!
