Adele Covers Vogue March 2012: See The Pics! (PHOTOS)

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 02/13/2012 10:13 am Updated: 02/13/2012 10:19 am

After making us wait for weeks, Vogue sneakily dropped their March 2012 Adele cover the day of the Grammys, which uncoincidentally was a huge night for the singer (she took home six awards, including Best Album).

And now that we've got our glimpse of the cover, here are some of the photos from Adele's editorial, which wraps her in romantic Oscar de la Renta, et al., and zooms in on her traditional cat-wing eyeliner and red lips.

Ugh, she looks SO good.

In the interview, we learn some surprising things about the acclaimed singer: she sneaks (gasp!) cigarettes sometimes; she's quite fond of the F-word (er, not "fashion"); and she says about her breakup-inspired album that she's done being a "bitter witch."

Check them out below, and click over to Vogue to see even more photos of the gorgeous Adele and read her juicy interview.

It would seem lately with all of the photoshopping that Vogue has become visually what OK! is to celebrity gossip....entirely vacuous and non representative of fact.

Adele looks so amazing after her weight loss. To me, it don't matter if she was airbrushed a bit or not, she looks great!

What does it matter? NO ONE looks the way in real life that they do in a magazine. There's a trained team of professionals (hair, make-up, photography, lighting, wardrobe, setting, editing, photo editors/technicians) to manipulate they way she actually looks. This is how every photo spread works. Women who think they should look the way that models do in a magazine are sorely uninformed. The models don't even look that way. It's impossible for anyone to mimic that look in real life. It's not real; it's mostly fiction and the work of trained artists.

Besides, she looks amazing. Her features are what is really astounding about her look. It's like someone carved them out of ivory. She's gorgeous. Enough said.

These Vogue pics of Adele are definitely photo-shopped. She is not as thin as the photos make her appear to be, and even worse, they do not accurately convey to the world the body image that Adele herself would wish to communicate. She has already made this clear; she is not interested in a stick figure. Shame on Vogue for conveying not only an inaccurate "picture" of Adele, but also for sending yet another message to young girls and women about the shallow & superficial value our society still places on thinness and about the media's continued pressure on girls and women to try to obtain these impossible-to-achieve bodies. Wake up, Vogue! It's 2012!

she actually has lost weight, if you see what she looks like now (grammys for example) compared to when she first started. and EVERY single photo in a magazine in photoshopped. afterall, like you said it is 2012

Look behind her. There's the lost weight.

Using the best make-up artists and the best photo shopping anyone can be made to look beautiful, even Adele.

she may not have an impressive body hugging figure but she is beautiful....her facial features are really impressive.

Do people who don't consider her "pretty" consider her face or are they just thinking since she's "overweight" that she must not be pretty? Because to me her face is chiseled.

I think she is gorgeous too, but she dresses terribly. Her clothes look too matronly...I often forget that she is only 23.

She resembles Angelina Jolie in the first photo. Personally, I think she is much prettier than Jolie.

Having lived through them when I was Adele's age, I can tell you she is a hark-back to iconic 60's fashion of the very best sort. I see that eye make-up every time I open a family album. Courtesy of slavishly copying Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn, most of us in my crowd at college acquired a sense of fashion which is both timeless and tasteful.

My greatest compliment came yesterday from my granddaughter. "Nan--you do your eyes just like Adele! Do mine."

Adele is glamor. Lady Gaga is kitsch.

Finally--a singer we might actually want girls to emulate.

Why must we have girls emulate singers? That's a lot of pressure to put on Adele, and totally unrealistic for girls.

Vogue destroys another pretty girl. What is the point of having someone pose for you if distort their image esp if they are already pretty?

Photoshop......she didn't have a waist at the Grammy's.

She's still talented. I love her...
12:49 PM on 02/14/2012
She had obviously dropped a few pounds if you watched the Grammys, but they did photoshop her a little more. Her face has a lot of shadings with makeup. She is a beautiful, confident and talented woman. Would you rather she look like Leah Ann Rhimes? Please...
06:43 PM on 02/14/2012
Yeah I prefer her as she is...I hope they don't put it in her head that she needs to be skinny to be accepted because she has already proven THAT is NOT true. We love ALL of her. However if SHE decides she wants to lose weight then let that be HER decision to make...

Hmm. That's odd. No photos showing her body.

I feel like I'm looking at photos at an online dating site only to be disappointed when we meet in person.

If you're unfamiliar with what her body looks like then you've been living under a rock. So you're not the only one disappointed at an in person meeting.

You don't know sarcasm when you read it huh.
