A box of chocolates really is a wonderful thing. It can say "I love you," or, "you rock mom!" or even, "something to battle the Tuesday blues," depending on who you gift it to.

Chocolates and Valentine's Day are a tradition that go as far back as 1861, according to Gourmet Live. Back then the Cadbury Brothers successfully marketed the world's first boxed chocolates, and today more than 36 million boxes are sold every February 14th.

So whether they're for your mom, your boyfriend/girlfriend, fiance, cousin or bestie, we've prepared a list of places in-state where you can pick up that delicious taste of a "Happy Valentine's Day."

Of the chocolates they listed the only one I have tried and loved for a number of years is the Telluride Truffles...these are addictive and to die for. We send them to our clients for Christmas thank yous and I can't tell you the response we get back from these...

These are the kind of thing that when you get it for a gift - you suddenly become selfish and hide them away so you don't have to share them with anyone...you savor them - they are complex and you experience the chocolate layers - a layer at a time and the whole experience is an explosion of chocolate.

TELLURIDE CHOCOLATE RULES........it's one of lifes BEST sins!

Did they have to mention all these places and where I might find them? Although I did find some luscious sugar-free caramels and toffees for my boyfriend at Enstroms, minus a piece or two....
