LeBron James, Heckler Reportedly Have Heated Exchange During Heat-Wizards Game

Did LeBron Threaten Heckler?

How far is too far when it comes to heckling and how far can an athlete go with his verbal response?

Depending on your answers to those questions, it might be that time again to blame something on LeBron. While dominating the Washington Wizards on Friday night in D.C., LeBron James allegedly got into a heated exchange with a heckler over comments about the 2010 rumor involving his mother and former teammate Delonte West.

Sarah Schorno Kogod, a writer for the Capital Games blog on NBC Washington and former contributor to Deadspin, observed the incident and caught up with the fan to get his side of the story.

Kogod tweeted that a fan named Bob Moore made a comment about Gloria James and West when LeBron was waiting alone in the backcourt. The personal attacks seemingly struck a nerve with the two-time MVP, who reportedly responded by threatening Moore.

If Moore's account of the verbal exchange is accurate then his wouldn't be the first time James responded to a heckler talking about his family. In a game against the Detroit Pistons a year ago, James fired back at a fan yelling insults about his mother while sitting near James' two sons.

"I don't care what you say to me. I don't give a [expletive] what you say. But don't be disrespectful," James said after the Detroit incident. The fan was then told to stop heckling James or he would be escorted out of the stadium.
