It's February, a.k.a. the month of Valentines, and what better way to enjoy some time with your loved one than by sitting in front of a warm fireplace, pulling up the computer, and reading another edition of Moviefone's Worst Movie Mistakes in History? (Well, probably lots of things! But there's got to be someone out there who would do that.)

This time around, we've compiled a list of ten of the worst movie mistakes from romance movies, including "Dirty Dancing," "Notting Hill," "Princess Bride" and "Pretty Woman."

(Once again, a big thanks to MovieMistakes.com, who in addition to helping us with this post, have a database full of ridiculously awesome and embarrassing mistakes made in feature films.)

In a scene featuring a children's birthday party, having a different color balloon magically appear in place of another is totally forgivable. However, having an entire person replacing said balloon is not.

Although it's one of my favorite movies, I have always had a problem with Blade Runner, when Zora gets shot. The scene starts out with a woman in high heeled boots, and then slo-mo's to a man in drag and flat boots. So jarring and lame, and through all of the myriad "Director's Cuts" and "Final Cuts", they never fixed it.

When I was a kid, I use to marvel at finding flaws/errors in comic books. I now like to do it with movies. It's a fun thing to do.

I notice stuff like that all the time in movies. I have a tendency to look for mistakes, rather than pay attention to what is going on. Sometimes, I miss the big stuff because I am too busy staring at the background. LOL! Almost every movie has at least one or two mistakes.

Hehe... the one from the Princess Bride made me chuckle. :-)

you should do a better job of your own- it wasn't About a Boy. it is Notting Hill. Jeez that's the pot calling the kettle black

Everyone loves a continuity goof, but plot holes are the coolest. Among my favorites:

In "King Kong", the natives build the door just big enough for Kong to waltz right through. Similarly, if Kong can climb to the top of the Empire State Building, why couldn't he climb over the wall?

In "Gremlins", one of the rules is that you must never feed Mogwai after midnight, but they never identify when it's safe to start feeding him again.

I assume so, but why didn't Rand Peltzer?

They noted that in "Gremlins 2".

I always figured The Princess Bride "goof" was on purpose.

That would be more expected from Robin Hood - Men in Tights. They actually did spoof stunt men in that film. The Princess Bride kind of took itself too seriously sometimes. LOL

I thought Brad was worried that he had dandruff in that picture.

I remember once a reference to a book written on movie mistakes. It was called "Roman Generals Don't Wear Wristwatches" and it referred to some movie where the actor forgot to take off his watch in the scene and no one caught it.....Likewise Kirk Douglas's vaccination scar visible in "Spartacus" and the tire tracks of the camera truck in the dirt during the great chariot race in Ben Hur.

The Internet Movie Database lists goofs for every movie that has them. An example is the helicopter shadow at the beginning of "The Shining".

The Clueless one might be funny, except that the second shot is clearly from when Cher is walking beside the pool in the backyard. Plenty of houses have the bottom floor hidden from the front.

And yes, I've seen Clueless too much.

Third slide was not the sun shining outside; it's a very bright moonlit night or they were filming in Alaska.

I had noticed the Princess Bride stunt man even as a kid watching the movie. I thought it was kind of funny. Some of the other "gotchas!" seem a little petty... except for the jacket thing on Brad Pitt in Mr and Mrs. Smith.

Considering the movie, one could almost assume that the nearly blatant mistake was intentional.
