Bon Iver Conflicted About Award, Just Like Lindsay Conflicted About Everything
At the Grammy Awards on Sunday, the artist Bon Iver accepted his award for Best New Artist, but seemed conflicted about it, because he said he didn't get into the music business to win awards for his music. But yet he accepted the award and thanked some people and moved on with his life.
I imagine that if Lindsay won an award, she would probably have all sorts of opinions about it, too. She'd be like, "Oh look. This award. Great," and she'd make that sort of disapproving face she always makes when she's not really excited about something but has to do it anyway, and then she'd take the award home and be like, "Where should we put this?" And then put it in like 10 different spots before deciding that she should just stick it in the closet because the room is too cluttered anyway. And then I'd be like, "Lindsey, you should show the award, it's really cool you got an award," and she'd be like: "WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO HANG OUT WITH YOUR FRIENDS UNTIL FIVE O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING, TODD," and then we'd sit in silence watching some terrible reality show while we both silently questioned our life's choices.
Anyway, Bon Iver won an award.
