Dogs Against Romney Group Protests In New York City (VIDEO)

Dogs (and their owners) howled their disapproval of Mitt Romney in New York City on Tuesday.

Dogs Against Romney, a Facebook-based protest group, demonstrated outside Madison Square Garden to bring attention to the now-infamous incident in which the former Massachusetts governor, now a leading Republican candidate for president, put his Irish setter Seamus inside a dog crate and strapped it to his vehicle for a 12-hour drive to a family vacation.

Using the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show as a backdrop, a small cluster of protesters with signs that were media-ready with talking points braved the New York cold to greet passersby with their anti-Romney message. The Huffington Post was on the scene to take in the day's events.

I am not that "obtuse"...I find the use of dogs silly....it obscures the issue...as for yourself, I find you a bit like a little puppy...harmless, but sometimes annoying when they bark too much.

Brave the New York cold? Please. It was 50 degrees. Two people tried to storm the event but were whisked away before any of us sitting inside could read their signs. However, I will say that they brought attention to a despicable event in Romney's past of which I was unaware.

What's REALLY stupid is the way in which he treated a dog for which he was responsible. And that's the point of bringing the dogs out -- to emphasize his ignorant treatment of a family pet. It may have not been malicious, but it was certainly stupid.
