Republican Valentine's Day Cards Jab Democrats (PHOTOS)

Posted: 02/14/2012 2:47 pm Updated: 03/27/2012 11:08 am

The Republican National Committee got into the Valentine's Day spirit Tuesday with a line of teasing e-cards that were less hearts than arrows directed at Democrats.

One features a contrite former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) with the text, "If Anyone Asks, I Didn't Send You This Valentine" -- a reference to the scandal that led to his resignation last year, in which the married congressman was caught sending lewd photographs to a number of women online.

Another card mocks Rep. Dennis Kunich (D-Ohio) for his short stature, reading, "I Have A Short List Of Valentines This Year." A third takes a more aggressive hit at former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine (D), with the text, "I Blew $1.2 Billion of Other Peoples' Money And All You Get Is This Lousy Valentine."

Other Democrats targeted include House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), and DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fla.)

RNC Chair Reince Priebus said that the cards, an annual GOP tradition, were meant in good fun.

But if those Valentines aren't quite to your taste, you can also send off a wonkier NPR-themed card, like one that reads, "If I told you how much I loved you, I'd violate Rule 47 CFR Part 73 of the FCC Radio Broadcast Rules." Aw.

Actually, all told, I thought they were pretty funny. And you've got to figure... they managed to put out six pieces of propaganda without "accidentally" mentioning Obama's race, calling anyone's religion into question, or offending America's women or homosexuals. That's got to be some sort of record!

Quite a collection of laugh-out-loud knee-slappers.

There's still no threat that the GOP will come up with a conservative answer to Jon Stewart.

I heart the GOP. (this card was printed by children laborers on paper made from the pulp of endangered Malaysian teakwood).

Making fun of Kucinich bc he's short? That's it? Weak sauce right there.

Ehh, I'm a Conservative and find them mildly funny. It goes both ways really. I am able to laugh at the countless jokes about Republicans. It's all in fun to me.

Their best shot is at Kucinich for not being as tall as they'd like him to be?

They never said a word about GWB not being as bright as any other president.

Or as bright as any other retard.

even at a mensa convention someone is the dumbest in the room

Now there's food for thought. I wouldn't qualify for Mensa but I do wonder what happens when a roomful of them get together.

This is the kind of low-brow, sophomoric, locker room snickering that turns on GOP throwbacks and keeps them occupied while the economy proceeds on its relentless path to Hades in a handbasket and Obama is left knocking at the front door, trying to get things DONE.

Considering their own shameful track record in such matters of indiscretion, you'd think the m0 rons would see the down side to raising the subject.
.

Nahhh...

Well, these cards reinforce my theory that conservatives have no sense of humor. If you want proof that they have no empathy go check out Paul Ryan's budget.
