Funniest YouTube Videos Ranked By New Google Algorithm (VIDEO)

In a recent profile for The New York Times, reporters caught up with Charlie and Harry Davies-Carr, the two precocious British brothers who shot to Internet stardom after a short video of the two -- the now-infamous "Charlie bit my finger - again!" -- garnered hundreds of million of views on YouTube.

Charlie, 5, and Harry, 7, have made over $158,000 off the video to date, and plans are in the works for children's books and YouTube channel.

But is the most successful noncommercial video in YouTube history also the funniest?

To find out, Google researchers worked with the YouTube Slam Team to develop an algorithm to rate the comedy value of YouTube videos.

Using criteria like the title, description and tags, and input from "trained classifiers," the team created a new version of their "YouTube Slam" challenge to allow users to rank the funniest videos.

Check out the slideshow below to see videos that topped the charts after 855,000 votes were cast.

Funny but my favorite ALL TIME video is "Stalking Cat" on youtube. If you love kitties you have to watch this one!

There was a video of a dog, a crow and a person all playing ball together. They used a ping pong
ball and they were taking turns. It wasn't listed as one of the eleven funniest videos, but boy was
it cute. If you go to number4 video, the video of the talking dog, also cute, this video is one of
the choices after number 4 plays. It's adorable and well worth a look. The crow has a name so
it's obviously a pet crow and crows are very smart I've heard never having owned one. It's unusual
to have a pet crow, but perhaps the person looking after it found it as a young crow, abandoned
or hurt. It's so cute the way the two animals keep passing the ping pong ball to each other, but
sometimes the dog misses or bats the ball relatively far away (for a crow) and the crow goes to
retrieve the ball.

I have 3 wild pet crows. They don't live in the house and I've never touched them. But they have been following me for 4 years because I feed them sunflowers seeds, etc. If I don't pay attention to them they will fly by me on the sidewalk and touch my hair with their wings. They even follow my car! This is in the city but they will only go so far within their territory. They walk right up to me as close as within a foot & squawk and beg. I can't even go out now of my apt. complex without something in my pocket. Now they've figured out which balcony is mine. It's a mama and 2 grown "babies" that I've watched grow. They have me wrapped around their little finger now. Where I live they don't allow any pets so my "pet crows" will have to do.

I enjoyed reading your post, Kitty KIng. Your 3 wild pet crows sound like they're
very smart. It must have been so interesting watching the interactions between
the mama crow and her babies. That's very kind of you to feed them sunflower
seeds. We live in a townhouse with a fairly big court yard which we share with
several townhouses. Last year a mother robin and three of her babies spent
quite a bit of time in the courtyard and in our backyard. The mother robin was
so busy trying to feed one of her babies and then the other two babies would
come towards her chirping wildly with their beaks wide open ready to receive
some nourishment. It was so interesting watching the mother robin look after
her babies and watching her babies grow. Sometimes the mother robin would
fly off and be gone for awhile and the young robins would go and hide in the
bushes until she returned. What a great mother she was. My husband and I
really enjoyed watching what we referred to as the robin family and I'm sure
you have just as much fun watching your crow family.

I don't think Scarlett takes a tumble is funny at all. I watched the video from beginning to end.
I found the sound quality very poor when I watched it on youtube, I had the volume up as far as
it would go. I would have liked to hear Scarlett sing as she's sitting in her chair.
That poor woman falls off a table near the end of the video and falls backwards.
She could have broken her neck. Then Scarlett lies on the floor trying to recover from her
fall and I keep waiting for the person who is videotaping her to come and help her get back
on her feet, but they keep on filming. I felt sorry for Scarlett and didn't find this video funny
in the least. I guess you find people hurting themselves funny. More is the pity.
