New York Fashion Week Fall 2012: Kristin Chenoweth Loves 'Smash,' Shopping At Gap Kids

Kristin Chenoweth Loves Gap Kids And 'Smash'

Before Naeem Khan's runway show Tuesday afternoon, we spotted Broadway icon Kristin Chenoweth in the front row. Sandwiched between InStyle's Hal Rubenstein and "The Help" actress Ahna O'Reilly, the petite star looked fabulous in a sparkly black dress created by the designer of the moment.

In order for it to fit Chenoweth, "It had to be cut down quite a bit," she said. "I hope he let's me keep it. I don't know who else would wear it, a child?" While we're sure the dress is all hers, it wouldn't be the first time Chenoweth was able to share attire with children. "I love Gap Kids," she exclaimed.

Though the 44-year-old icon has been famous for decades, her cameos on "Glee" have only increased her growing spotlight, and she loves seeing her favorite tunes on TV. "I think that it's very exciting that a world that I worship, adore and love is being celebrated," she says. Of the new musical show "Smash," she gushes, "I loved it. I just hope that it keeps going because I want that show to be watched. It represents our world perfectly. I know a lot of people in it, so I'm rooting for it. I want America to embrace it as much as I have."

Even though Chenoweth is busy, she stars in ABC's upcoming show "Good Christian Bitches," she says she'll definitely find time to make a cameo on "Smash," exclaiming, "If I'm asked!"
