Gingrich's Flat Tire In West Hollywood: Tweeters Have At It (VIDEO)

Less than a month ago, GOP candidate Newt Gingrich compared gay marriage to paganism. And where, of all places in LA, did he get a flat tire Wednesday? West Hollywood -- otherwise known as "Boys Town."

Which may be why, when Newt's stalled campaign bus was spotted on Sunset Boulevard, Newt was nowhere to be found, reports CBS. But that didn't stop locals from snapping photos and tweeting some hilarious comments about Newt's accidental visit (see below).

Things have gone from bad to worse for the GOP candidate, who is dismissing calls for him to pull out of the race. While candidates Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney have each won four state primaries, Newt has only won one. His trip to California is part of his determined effort to make a comeback; he's here to try to raise some California dollars for his campaign.

Newt and his wife, Callista, are back in more familiar territory this Thursday morning. First, they're visiting Little Oaks School in Thousand Oaks, and then they'll be at a Republican Jewish luncheon in Beverly Hills.
