Syfy will air "Lost Girl's" second season

Every day on my Twitter feed, I hear from new converts to "Lost Girl," and that is a beautiful thing.

Since the Syfy show premiered in January, it's gained quite the appreciative American audience. As I said in this recent piece, I've been greatly enjoying the first season of "Lost Girl," which follows the adventures of a succubus called Bo and her sidekick Kenzi, and it sounds like a number of people who've checked out the first half-dozen episodes are similarly entranced.

Here's a piece of good news about the show: Syfy will be airing the second season of "Lost Girl" right after Season 1 concludes on April 9. That's right -- if you're impatient, you are in luck: Season 2 begins a week later on April 16. Given that Season 2 is 22 episodes long, we could be seeing a lot of Bo, Kenzi, Lauren and Dyson this year. No complaints here!

As longtime fans of the show know, "Lost Girl" first premiered in Canada in 2010, and the second season of the show is already airing there (a third season has been commissioned as well). When the show premiered on Syfy, it wasn't known when the second season would air.

But now we know we've got lots of "Lost Girl" in our future -- so there's no reason not to catch up, especially if you're a fan of tonally nimble yet emotionally satisfying supernatural fare. There are frequent "Lost Girl" repeats on the network's schedule, so give it a whirl if you have a chance.

The show's Season 1 episodes are listed here, and my Canadian colleagues have come up with a very useful primer on the show. For those already on board, I've added a preview clip of Monday's typically sparky episode to this post. But here's a little heads up: Episode 7, which airs Feb. 27, is my favorite "Lost Girl" hour yet.

I'm a terrible TV watcher. I catch 1 episode, and if I'm not enthralled, I don't keep watching. But... Since Mo recommended "Lost Girl", I've caught 4 episodes, giving it "more of a chance". I'm not enthralled. Hard to say why, but much of the action/plot seems almost formulaic to me. Nothing stands out to me as special, to make it worth catching every week.
But, Kenzi/Bo's dialog is snappy. Their relationship is fun. This show is watchable, even if I'm slightly bored like I'm watching a procedural. I'll give it to the 7th episode Mo likes.
Also... I am frustrated that I missed the first 2 episodes. Maybe I would have been more invested in this series, if I'd seen more about this Fae world.

I used to watch Hawaii 5-O at this time.....have passed on that program in favor of Lost Girl.

Is this show a ripoff of Karen Marie Moning's Fae Fever book series? It's close in many ways and this week the company they broke into was named Baron Chemical! Wonder if she knows about this? Or did they buy the rights from her? Does anyone know?

It's not very good guys. Sorry. Sci-fi has had some very well written shows and this one is not anything special at all. It relies on sex appeal and low budget stunts. Bleeding eyes ? Please. Can you say True Blood. Lack of chemistry among characters is too noticeable.
I would be the first one to applaud a good series but this one is really bad. Looks low budget from start to finish.Do they shoot this in abandoned warehouses? The acting is all over the place. Kind of disappointing but NBC-Universal Is all over the place as well so it makes sense.

I agree with everything you said in your previous article about Lost Girl. I became addicted so fast I can only blame the freshness of the show. Usually I am such a paranoid feminist I am cautious of shows with female oversexed characters, but ironically Bo the Succubus doesn't feel that way at all. I'm a scy fy fan and follow lost of great shows, but currently Lost Girl, being in its second season, appeals more to me because it hasn't had time to lose energy or make serious mistakes or repetitions. Even my complaints about season two aren't really complaints but more a feeling of an almost perfect first season followed by a very good second one. Won't spoil, but in season 2 so far is still worth watching.
