Oprah's Trainer Bob Greene On His Best Get-Healthy Secrets

It's very rare that you hear of a relationship lasting nearly two decades, especially when you're talking about one between a fitness professional and one of the biggest stars on the planet. Some 16 years ago, Oprah, who's made no secret of her weight-loss struggles, professed her devotion to trainer Bob Greene to SHAPE, telling us of their daily regimen of cardio, strength training and yoga.

All these years later, the TV guru still turns to Greene to stay fit. We caught up with the trainer exclusively (while he was in Hawaii on the "Oprah Compound") to get his three-pronged approach to weight loss that he shares with his star client.

I wish the nutrition piece went a bit further. I like the focus on adding nutrient-dense superfoods, but what about the elimination of trans fat and high fructose corn syrup? Ultimately, a healthy diet would shift more to whole, natural foods and away from processed. Eliminating these two ingredients from the diet helps to make that switch.

If Oprah is his poster girl who would ever listen to this looser. His number one biggest ( pun intended) client is overweightvandout of shape. By thecwy Oprah is a incredible phony, un- married, no children overweight but fast to give us all advice. Get your own life in order first. Yeech

I have eaten correctly all my life, never had a trainer and have never been over-weight...

and Oprah has every trick in the book and still looks like Hell....what's wrong with this picture... ? Could it be Oprah just trying to make some bucks off her 'expert'.. nothing is 'expert' about is advice.. it's common sense and I knew it when I was 13...

HAHAHA! Look at Oprah. She isn't fit nor is Michelle Obama. This is absurd. Obama has a special trainer and a cook and she still looks like Hell...

I don't know about Michelle Obama. I saw her knock out a bunch of pushups on tv recently. Maybe cheater pushups, but still impressive. Oprah on the other hand, I'm with you. I'm sure Oprah is a nice lady, but who isn't a nice guy after the first $100 million hits the bank account?

Oprah has been promoting diet and fitness as long as she has been on TV and look at her.. as fat as she ever was... yep.. she made bucks off pandering to the public..

Michelle O.. is strong..because she is a big woman.. almost like a man....

Apparently the secret has been kept from Oprah.
I wish she could learn what he is teaching.People are cruel though to call her names and make such derogatory and cruel statements.. She has accomplished much in her life and she shares so generously shares with others.

Exactly. Just like Michelle Obama trying to tell us how to eat.. what a laugh! Oprah ruined her metabolisim with all her dieting BS.. who would follow this woman's advice on anything...? Only a fool!

Oprah is a pig.. I know people who have seen her eat.. and it takes hours to make her up to look presentable.. and she is wrapped in elastic.. what a joke!

I disagree with 200 minutes a week to stay in shape. Some people have slow metabolisms and it is more like 200 minutes a day to break even.

I wouldn't take singing lessons from Britney Spears, public speaking classes from George W. Bush, or weight loss advice from Oprah's trainer. I'm just saying.
