Louisiana-Inspired Dinner Recipes

A Week's Worth of Mardi Gras-Inspired Recipes

Let the good times roll, or as they say in New Orleans, "Laissez les bons temps rouler!" Mardi Gras is this coming Tuesday and it's a time to celebrate carnival-style. But you don't have to go all the way to Louisiana to join in the festivities. You can have your own party at home with traditional Louisiana foods and all the accoutrements of a Mardi Gras party, including beads, king cake and more.

Here at Kitchen Daily we've put together a week's worth of recipes inspired by Louisiana cuisine. Gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, catfish, po' boys -- we've got all the classics you crave with a few twists here and there to make things exciting. Get yourself in the mood to party and celebrate Mardi Gras all week long (that is, unless you're observing Lent). These recipes give you a taste of New Orleans without stepping outside of your kitchen.
