Bobby Brown Leaves Whitney Houston's Funeral: Seating Dispute Reportedly To Blame

NEWARK, N.J. — Whitney Houston's ex-husband, Bobby Brown briefly appeared at her funeral before leaving.

Brown arrived as the service began. He walked to the casket, touched it and walked to the back of the church Saturday.

Brown says in a statement that he and his children were seated but asked repeatedly to move. Brown says he left because he didn't want to create a scene. As he left, Brown appeared upset.

Later Saturday, Brown was performing in Connecticut with New Edition. He appeared energetic and smiling and thanked the crowd for keeping his spirits up. At one point, he pointed his finger to the sky and said, "Blessings to my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. I love you."

Houston died Feb. 11. A cause of death hasn't been determined.

Houston and Brown were married 15 years and have one daughter together. Their tumultuous relationship ended in 2007.

I don't think that Brown was responsible for her decline. She really loved drugs. And when she finished with Brown, she chose Ray J ( the man who made a porn tape with KK ) as her toy boy. She really liked bad guys and bad things.

I was at the concert at the Greensboro coliseum the night before Whitney's funeral. I wasn't expecting Bobby to show up but he did. He explained that it took a lot for him to get there, and that he wouldn't have missed that show. He went through all of that traveling to get to where he needed to be to be treated like that. No matter what that is Bobbi's father and he shouldn't be treated like that. Keep on keeping on Bobby Brown!! NEW EDITION FAN FROM BEGINNING TO END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like EVERYONE gave him alot of BS while he was there.
Houstons people blaim Brown for her demise... which is NOT TRUE or fair.

HOWEVER-- Brown should have sucked all up and stayed no matter what. The right thing to do was to endure everything and pay final respects.

Sad, even Bobby knows that NO one sits (not even an ex) in the reserved (roped-off section) prior to the family's entrance. The custom is to ask that everyone respect family. Funeral directors never fail to do the right thing. If he had not been seeking attention he and his children would have followed her mother, daughter, and brother or at least when directed to do so; there is an accepted order of ceremony. He should not get publicity for this social breach.

What bothered me about the whole thing is his press statement, that his "kids where upset". Excuse me. What about the feelings of the kid that just lost her mother? Could you not have sent your baby mama home, after she was not allowed to sit with the family? Were the feelings of your other kids, more important than the who just lost her mom?

His ego superceded her funeral, he left in a tiff because he couldn't get last minute 1st class seating for his entourage. He couldn't even say goodbye to the women he was married to for 14 years without trying to make it about himself. Boo Hoo, he though people were being disrespectful to his lordship.People will remember this along with all his other acts of idiocy.The man has all that money and not an ounce of class, his ghetto persona will follow him to the grave

I hope you've read the reports that are surfacing now that completely dispute everything you've said or thought occurred. Although they were great newspaper selling headlines - I mean "ENTOURAGE", "STORMED OUT" wow made me want to read. But they were sensationally false as being stated now. He acted like a total gentleman and the family or security has been proven to have been totally out of line and insensitive toward the father of Whitney's child. Entourage turned out to be 3 of his kids (Whitney's step-children) and his fiance. Stormed out seemed to be just a quiet exit after kissing the casket of his wife; so quiet that no one in attendance even recognized there was an issue at all. And your ghetto reference was cute but it says a lot about you and the way in which you filter information. Judge not unless....you know the rest.
