Puppy Teaches Baby To Use Teething Ring (VIDEO)

Doggy Teething Ring

First Posted: 02/18/2012 7:00 pm Updated: 02/18/2012 7:00 pm

Here's one way to teach your baby how to use a teething ring -- just wait for the dog to show him!

This 5-month-old has a rather elaborate toy to practice with, complete with all the colors and textures that babies love. And, now he has the right teething mentor too.

Babies always seem to be mesmerized by puppies at this age. Check out this kid who was minding his own business until a ferocious Yorkie puppy hopped up to him, and in the midst of passionate kisses, knocked him over onto his blanket. Awwwwwww.

Or this adorable little girl when her two-and-a-half year old dog Pebbles gave birth to 15 dalmatian puppies. Her unstiffled joy as she snuggles one of the tiny puppies to her face is almost too much to take. Almost.

You know, I probably wouldn't mind so much if the people who write these articles were so dumb as to not know how to spell and what word means what, except it's so damned frustrating trying to read and re read their mistakes so as to make some sense. Puppy teaches baby to "teeth". They probably don't know that it's "teethe", but some research might help these mildly educated people.

I know what you mean! There are usually problems with punctuation, as well.

Too cute. Now if he just learns to eat his veggies by watching his parents...

AOL or whoever is responsibile for the headlines, "teeth" are the things in your mouth. The verb however is "teethe". That's what the baby is doing.

The video Puppy Teaches Baby to Use Teething Ring is adorable. It's so cute the way the baby
looks over at the puppy chewing on the bone and probably thinks, hey, I can do that too.

I wish everyone would understand the power of babies to learn. My grandson, at 33 days old, imitated me saying mama.. He said it perfectly, and the cute thing was, after he said it, he looked at me for approval. I made a big fuss and he would say it perfectly every time. Babies are a sponge, waiting to suck up everything they hear and see. We need to take the time to feed them sounds, and pictures every opportunity.

It's a good idea to take colored Christmas lights and string them all over the ceiling above the baby's crib. Much more fun for him than staring up at a blank white ceiling. all day long.

You are welcome Cassandra. And your suggestion is wonderful. I gave my grandson a 'fish tank' . All electronic, made my Discovery Kids. It simulates fish swimming around and around and looks incredibly like an underwater scene. Sold as a nightlight, It has captured his attention for months now! If you have babies or grandchildren, I highly recommend it!

My son's godmother watched him one day when I went to a doctor's appointment. I returned to pick him up, only to view him thru the outer door sitting on the floor in the kitchen with the godmother's little dog begging in a sitting up posture in front of my son. When I entered I saw my son gnawing on a medium sized Milk Bone dog biscuit. I took it away to give to the dog. My son's godmother said, "Oh no, that's your son's. Snert (the dog) already had his." She also told me all 5 of her kids teethed on Milk Bone biscuits and "did just fine." I asked my son's doctor about it. He told me Milk Bones were probably better since they are very hard and don't break off like baby teething biscuits after they get all melted and slimey. He also told me dog food and biscuits are made to standards that people can eat. I bought a box and that is what my son teethed on and threw out the baby biscuits. And yes, just like my son's godmother's children, he "did just fine," with no breaking into dangerous pieces like the baby biscuits always did.
