Rihanna, Chris Brown Reunite On Two Remixes (VIDEO)

We were already trying to wrap our heads around the news that Chris Brown would lend his voice to Rihanna's "Birthday Cake" remix, but the singers have managed to blow our minds a little bit more.

On Monday the former couple (who are rumored to be seeing each other in secret) threw us for a loop when they both released remixes featuring each others vocals.

We knew that Brown was the "shocking" addition to "Birthday Cake" that producers promised, but we were more than surprised to hear Rihanna singing on Brown's remix for "Turn Up The Music."

The songs dropped simultaneously and couldn't have been released at a more opportune time. Brown has been a hot topic in the media this past week after he shot back at critics like country singer Miranda Lambert, who were upset to see him honored and performing at last week's Grammy Awards. Lambert, and other celebrities, spoke out against the music industry officially welcoming Brown back into its good graces for the first time since he brutally assaulted Rihanna in 2009.

Though "RIP Chris Brown" started trending on Twitter after the 22-year-old singer wrote that winning a Grammy was the "ultimate F**k OFF," his career is somehow still alive.

Although many aren't ready to forgive Brown, the remixes are proof that Rihanna certainly has. The 24-year-old singer seems to have extended an olive branch to Brown and perhaps her heart as well. Hearing Rihanna sing on Brown's song the words, "I love you baby," and Chris singing on "Birthday Cake": "Girl I wanna f**k you right now. Been a long time, I've been missing your body," only further fuels rumors the two have being seeing each other in secret.

When asked why she's chosen to work with Brown again, Rihanna replied, "Beats me."

I think Chris was very fortunate that his attack on Rihanna didn't destroy his career. Rihanna may not be as fortunate, we may see a dramatic decline in her amount of fan's and a negative perception of her in the public eye.

Given what evidence? All I have been hearing are that fans are outraged on both sides of the situation, and since she has been having trouble selling out concerts for the past couple of years, them working together let alone being back together seems like a bad idea.

Neither one of them own anybody anything, it is their choice to make and people and media should stay out of it......People really need to GET A LIFE..BTW I like both of the songs and they did a great job

Keep in my mind that if they are or if there not dating, they are no diff. from anybody else! Stuff like this happens every day but because they are famous its an issue! Give Me A Break!. They are not together, Their just making Money together, I don't see whats the hoohaa about!.. Do the Damn Thing Chris & Robyn!.. cause @ the end of the day you still going to buy their music because it's HOT!!!

Sadly this dysfunctional relationship is being supported by many. Clearly making money is an acceptable reason for them to interact for you... are you a banker or a politician? Bankers and politicians IMO are glaring examples of "selling ones soul" for the bottom line. Do you really think they have an "equal" partnership? She needs psychiatric intervention IMO and he shoulds have gone to jail IMO.

Most logical people would also argue that he needs psychiatric evaluation as well and sending a young man with no criminal past to jail would have been the ignorant and biased choice

Rihanna maybe a great entertainer and singer, but she is still young (She turned twenty-four on February 20th). I don’t know who are the influential people in her lives, but they should tell her that no woman should allow herself to be in relationship with a man who abusive her whether it is personal or professional. Her manager should work to give her choices. If she needs to make a collaborative recording, she needs to find an artist who will respect her as a singer and a woman. This is her “watershed†moment, as hard as it is. She needs to close the door on her involvement with Chris Brown. If the people around her can’t or won’t support her in these endeavor, then she need to find some new “peopleâ€. I pray for her strength and to having a brighter tomorrow.

Fran; you do realize that it's possible for them to make a collaboration without ever running into each other? they can even record the song on seperate coasts of the US (which is what I hope for). I think them making a song together is about business and making money and not to get into another relationship, the one they had was bad for both of them and they should move on in their personal lives, but can make a song together using the studio seperatly and using their own sound engineers and backgrounds or whatever.

You don't to call anyone an idiot. I will give you a pass because I can tell that you are nieve. Truth be told. I believe that Chris Brown shouldn't beat someone physically weaker. That makes him look like a weak man. However, with that said, no woman has the right to aggressively attack a man. I believe she attacked Chris Brown first. I believe it is not the first time she has hit him. She is not very smart. She knew that he was not loyal to her. Now she knows that we know he is not the loyal type. She is on her own. If you step to a man in a tight space, (car), don't always expect that he will do the right thing and walk away. He is human. Chris Brown was young and human.

Seriously if she doesn't remember the condition he left her in and wants to go back for more, there is nothing anyone can do. She really needs some counselling. He will do it again...guranteed!

If she's dumb enough to want another beating, let her have it. Maybe then they'll put this punk away for some hard time.

If she provokes him, then she is in her own. Even if she doesn't provoke him, she is on her own. She has lost public trust.

She does not owe the public anything or YOU..Get a LIFE!!!

And what life do you have...how many times have you be the reciver of beating or are you the one dishing it out. I hope you have a life. She owes her self alot and seeing that she is in the public eye she could at least be true to her self.

If it is Chris Brown she wants fine. She should remember, he showed her that he does not respect boundaries. So if she prokes him to punch her in the face like he did the last time, she should be left alone then too. Yes, I believe that she provoke him and probably hit him first.

I hope you are not raising any kids ….you ideology is sick...even if a women provokes a man, a man can hit harder than a women and didn't your parents teach you that a man needs to walk away before they hit a women. No wonder this world is in the mess it is in people of your thought process.
07:08 PM on 02/23/2012
You need to look at the real world. If Rihanna was my child Chris Brown would have known not to touch her. He would have known that his face would have gotten puffed up the same way hers did, if it happened. At the very beginning, my child would tell him to keep it moving.
04:38 PM on 02/24/2012
room2talk has a point though he does not have the right to put his hands on her, unless it is to embrace her as a women, she does not have the right to raise her hand at him. If they really care for one another, they would have had enough sense to stop and think before reacting. They both share an amount of blame 50/50. No one wants to b hit male or female, so if it were you, and you were hit, answer this question honestly... What would you have done because you to are human, and we all need to work on our dispositions about one another as well as ourselves. dont say just because she's weaker he had no right to hit her yes he was wrong but if she struck him, though it is not the best way to handle things, he reacted by hitting her. Think about it.

This is the typical drunk person starts a fight in the club scenario only difference is, they were in the car, and alcohol had nothing to do with it. Person starts a fight because they are intoxicated, no difference: ri ri got hit because she hit him... End of the day, things should have been handled better.
02:53 PM on 02/23/2012
room2talk.. you are either a man or an idiot.. because only a man or an idiot would say something like that....no woman deserves to be hit by anyone... and the use of the word "provoke" is not a reason to beat up on someone.
05:25 AM on 02/23/2012
I'm not surprised to see them back together because those two kids loves each other, please give them a chance to enjoy life because God ask us to forgive each other, and every body deserve a second chance, I love them.
08:00 AM on 02/23/2012
forgiveness does not mean you return to the person who beat and abused you....Hello?? you can forgive them in your heart but you must still be rational and have enough self love to stay away from that person untill they have shown that they have done the work to change...a lot of work...even then it is best to stay away and move on a find a loving, caring person who is not an abuser, to be with....CB is a punk
04:42 PM on 02/24/2012
You are right, you do need to be cautious, but if they love one another, honey LOVE is stronger than anything, when it is pure. God is love, so please think about... We have all laid hands on oneanother in anger and if you say you havent you are lying to yourself.
05:16 AM on 02/23/2012
I'm happy to see them together because they love each other, now Chris regrets his mistake, so he understand life better, do not listen about what people say to you just follow your heart because it's nice to live with someone you love.

If this is true love, buttressed by truth and reconciliation, then so be it. He was 19 when messed up, and I shudder when I think of my own mistakes at that age.
