Chris Brown And Rihanna's Timeline: A History Of Their Relationship

The Huffington Post     First Posted: 02/22/2012 9:18 am   Updated: 02/22/2012 4:08 pm

Another day, another revelation in the Chris Brown-Rihanna saga.

It was just a week and a half ago that Brown drew ire when he appeared at the Grammy Awards to perform and take Best R&B Album honors. Brown responded to critics, who found his Grammy embrace inappropriate given that it was the third anniversary of his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna, with an incendiary tweet, which he promptly deleted.

Monday, one day after the Grammys, Rihanna threw a 24th birthday bash, which was reportedly attended by Brown. Rumors then swirled that Brown would provide a "shocking" addition to Rihanna's "Birthday Cake" remix, promised by the track's producers.

And finally, the former couple capitalized on the controversy, simultaneously releasing remixes that feature each other's vocals.

In case you need help keeping track of the never-ending story, here's a timeline of the pair's troubled history.

Dear Media please we know you are extremely gracious, but now no body wants to hear about Rihanna and who ever she is jumping around with. She is like a ping pong ball, sometimes here, sometimes there. The news has become quiet monotonous, and we need a break so now please, Period!!!!!!!!

Chris Brown is just a plain and simple THUG. Don't care for him, don't watch him, don,t listen to him, etc., etc., etc.

Next time when she complaints to be abused, the police should arrest her instead of him and place criminal charges on her, unbelievable! Rihanna is telling all her fans around the world that is a man is handsome and attractive it is fine to be victimized forever and continue to date your assailants because it might get better and you will live happily ever after! The truth is that those same women including her might end up behind a dirty alley, killed.

Any man that hits a woman is NO MAN at all....OR
It is the duty of ALL MEN to protect ALL women...

I skipped the article because i just wanted to say, judging form the headlines, that the media has beaten this to death. Please stop printing this story about these two jokers. It is repetitive and unnecessarily so. I just love and support those celebrities who keep their private life just that, private. That way every negative aspect is not hashed and rehashed by the media years later. Rihanna and Brown need to keep a low profile at least for a few years or they will soon become irrelevant. Talk about your craft publicly everything else is your business. Take a leaf from Denzel's book.

I TOTALLY agree with you. This is a personal matter while they are battling a negativity issue on them both, with public is criticism. They are talented singers/performers, but folks... lets not forget the age of these old teenager-young adults with all this fame, stardom, while being so young??!! Are you serious, if I had it like that... as we do all realistically though... but, I wouldv'e probably been a HOT MESS !! LOL. LOL. We are All Human, their issue on this was publically exposed for media profits. As I've said before... WE ARE NOT PERFECT, and EVERYONE goes through things in there life... it's just a natural process. It is what God intended. This is how we grow, learn, mature and FOREVER know our creater.

Who cares? I mean really.

Who are we to judge when we are not in their shoes? I am not saying it's right. It was WRONG.
Wrong, wrong, wrong! A man should never hit a female. Leave.
I'm sorry Folks, but I just feel we are being too critical on THEIR intimate life experience while being so young, fame, responsiblities, etc. etc. etc. Media can kill a relationship if that relationship is lacking in a way its detrimental to the couple involved.

GOOD FOR THEM
ZOMBIES SHOULD MARRY THE SAME

Zombies? Why so critical? Very concerned regarding your response.
05:11 AM on 02/27/2012
Your concern should be staying safe, having plenty of rations and a well fortified encampment

Why does this society think that it is our business what goes on in other peoples lives. Hopefully anyone with problems have their friends and family to help them through and the rest of us have no reason to know or comment on them at all.

Because the media works hard to make it our business. They dig and dig into these celebrities personal lives, and report everything they find in newspapers, magazines and TV. The paparazzi are relentless - they work 24/7 hounding the celeb. And then to top it all off, a vast majorityof the celebs just give it all up for free (their privacy) by signing contracts to make a reality show based on their everyday lives. AND, what's worse, is nowadays Americans are soooo forgiving of a drug-fueled celeb that they put that celeb on a high pedestal just because the celeb goes to rehab. Rehab has become the new PR way of getting your name back in the limelight. Twisted.

If Rihanna keeps going back to Chris for more drama, then she is just as much to blame as Chris is. Maybe she's just one of those women who is attracted to men who act like they don't give a damn around her. Maybe she doesn't think she deserves better, or maybe she's a glutten for punishment. Who knows. There seems to be a lot of talented celeb's out there who are extremely insecure about themselves and somehow don't feel as though they are worth all the fuss that fans make over them. They get too big too fast, and can't handle the pressure. In front of the cameras they seem self-confident, but behind closed doors...is another story. Too many celeb's have done themselves in (some purposely, some by accidental overdose)because of this - Elvis, Whitney, and lots of others. I could go on and on. It's sad, really.

Very Sad.

if people take six months to clean their house and six months to take care of their business then they will not have time to be in this young man business.who are you to judge this man.you are talking about what happen in the past,we are living in the present heading to the future not in the past.stay out of these two business.

Rappers have profited off of violence before with lyrics. But here, one of the singers is a victim of the other. This is a terrible example for women in abusive relationships.... reconciliation at any price? Somebody choke Chris Brown out already. I'm sick of that human garbage.
