So much depends on the team around the qb. To claim which is the best is moot. This list is inane. Personal faves were many...Montana, Tarkenton, Kelly, Namath, Peyton, McMahon, Simms & on & on & on.

My personal favorites are Matthew Stafford, Matt Ryan, Jay Cutler, Andy Dalton, and Cam Newton.

Don't even waste your time looking at the list. It is a joke.

Hehe... I like how Tebow got a 0 for mechanics

And as a Seahawks fan I was stunned Tarvaris was ranked in the high 20s... Way too high... Geez I hope we can pull off a coup for Matt Flynn... If we can get him in free agency and address the o line and add some weapons in the draft this is a playoff team...

You definitely need a GOOD QB next season. I'm a huge fan of (The Skittles_God) Marshawn_Lynch and the really stingy Seahawks Defense.

Nice to see Mark Sanchez take a nose-dive. He's been overrated since he came into the NFL.

I was about to ask why seeing Sanchez fail would please you, but then I noticed your moniker.

What's wrong with my moniker? It's an Emily Dickinson poem.

I didn't say his fail pleased me, he's just been over-hyped since he entered the league. The Jets have been as well since Ryan took over. They both were brought back down to Earth with the last season's showing.

I would argue Brees should be #1. Unlike Rodgers and Brady (who are great, I am just splitting hairs here) he wouldn't go out scoring less than 20 points. Yes, he didn't make it to the Super Bowl this year, and hasn't won a road playoff game with the Saints, but that is not his fault. It isn't his fault their defense gave up 2 TDs in 4 minutes to Vernon Davis and Alex Smith, they scored 30+ points, their defense let him down. He didn't fumble on the 1 yard line when going in for a TD either. And in 2010, it isn'this fault nobody could tackle Lynch. They again scored 30+ in a loss.

Brady and Rodgers were knocked out of the playoffs with bad offensive outings (against a good Giants defense). I doubt Brees would only put up 20 points against the Giants, at home, or in the Super Bowl.

I couldn't get the page to download completely. Is that the 50 best QB's of all time or (although it sounds strange) active?
An argument about the 50 best NFL QB's of all time might be lengthy but it would be interesting.

Of all time - absolutely. In this case, it's *current* QBs, which is thoroughly pointless.
