Fox News' Steve Doocy: I Turn On CBS When I Wake Up And 'Figure Out What We Will Be Talking About Most Probably'

Fox News host Steve Doocy revealed a surprising morning habit during an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The interview was published on Monday.

Doocy, who co-hosts Fox News' morning show "Fox and Friends" sat down for a feature interview with the Post-Gazette. The Fox News host discussed a range of topics, including his morning routine.

"I get up every day at 3:27 a.m," Doocy said. While the early morning wake-up call is surprising in and of itself, Doocy also revealed where he first turns for his morning headlines. Spoiler alert: it is not Fox News.

"The reason it is 3:27 is that I get up and turn on the hot water and by the time the water is hot in the shower the news on the half-hour on CBS is going to start. I turn off the shower and listen to the news and figure out what we will be talking about most probably."

Doocy's show, "Fox and Friends," leads the cable network's daily coverage, airing from 6-9:00 a.m. Prior to joining Fox News in 1996, Doocy co-anchored WCBS-TV's "Early Morning Newscast."

UPDATE: 3:40 p.m. -- The Post-Gazette has updated Doocy's quote to more clearly state that the Fox News host turns on WCBS Radio when he wakes up.

So fox does not actually go out and get their own news. Though they play tough on the networks because of being liberal leaning then they don't rely on their own reporters for the news.

If you want a temperature reading of the intellectual capability of the average Fox News viewer - watch Fox and Friends. Don't cheat and watch just the snippets The Daily Show and Colbert Report show. (you gotta know their writers LOVE Fox and Friends - all that material). Since Fox is the exclusive station of all retirement homes, I watched an actual show while visiting my aunt. Unbelievable. Seriously. Try it. I'm guessing the mothers on Toddlers and Tiaras find Fox and Friends too dumbed down. (my poor Aunt. She thinks the F+F is one of her beloved quiz shows that was cancelled years ago. She always cheers for Gretchen Carlson to "win")

Some things I learned on Fox this week:

Issue: IRS says refund checks delayed 10-20 days due to new computer glitch. The process is to more easily detect tax cheats.
FOX TAKE: IRS is holding things up on purpose so they can collect interest on the money.

Issue: Man killed outside his home in Berkely. The assailant was arrested nearby.
FOX TAKE: Police couldn't come because all were busy with the OWS crowd...
Truthiness,,,from the local newspaper:

It’s often popular to blame the police when things go wrong, and sometimes that blame is deserved. But in all honesty, it seems that the Berkeley police did all that could have been expected of them in this situation. Officers were dispatched within a minute after the 911 call came in, and an officer arrived on the scene within five minutes of being dispatched. Given the location, at the top of the Berkeley hills adjacent to Tilden Park, it’s hard to imagine a faster response than that.

Issue: High gas prices.
FOX TAKE..Trump interview: Pelosi said speculators are the problem (also every major business company, financial firm...and others) It's Obamas fault. He should "meeti" with OPEC and say...look here, lower our prices or we won't buy any oil from you....(he actualy said that). He won't deal with Iran...won't allow drilling, administration lying, ....and then they make fun of algae.

Heavens....I don't watch that channel. More than a few minutes, I can feel my brain cells starting to die.

I usually run through the news with my morning coffee....being retired, it's a luxury....

I stop by Fox to see what crapola they are feeding the lunatics today. It's very revealing....but 5 minutes or so is enough.
