Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick Moving To LA From NYC?

PHOTOS: Welcoming Bacon & Sedgwick To The Neighborhood

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick just bought an architectural house for $2.5 million in Los Angeles. Does this mean the Hollywood couple are moving from their Upper West Side Manhattan home of two decades? Hard to say. By all accounts, they got a good deal on the two-bedroom house in the oh-so-hip Los Feliz neighborhood. And it would seem that the property, at 2,760 square feet, is a bit on the modest size for stars who get as much work as these two, unless a major remodel is planned. For a long while, Sedgwick rented out Julianna Margulies' Santa Monica home, which sold for around $4 million in 2008.

The house that Bacon and Sedgwick bought in a blind trust was built in 1957. It's a midcentury modern, sort of, with lots of wood, glass and steel. There is a marble-and-wood-lined staircase and rows of windows that let in plenty of natural light. The yard has a pool, spa and an outdoor kitchen, and there is a third-level rooftop patio. Our money says the remodeling crew is about to attack in full force before you see the duo parking their bedroom slippers in the master suite.

Bacon most recently played Sebastian Shaw in the 2011 "X-Men: First Class." Golden Globe and Emmy winner Sedgwick, who may have a stronger need to live in Los Angeles, stars in TNT’s crime drama "The Closer."
