'World's Toughest Trucker': Hanging Out Of A Moving Truck To Check The Load (VIDEO)

Hanging Out Of A Moving Truck On 'World's Toughest Trucker'

In an odd exchange during "World's Toughest Trucker" (Mon., 10 p.m. EST on Discovery), Shane radioed to the blue truck ahead to tell them that when they get a chance, they'd be passing them. But Stuart took it as some sort of a request.

"No, sorry fella, there's no overtaking at all, mate," he replied. "Sorry. You'll have to just stay where you're at." As if in a competition, someone would genuinely be asking permission to make a move ahead.

"I didn't ask him permission. I told him what we were gonna do when we got a chance," Shane laughed.

Perhaps because Shane and Zola were so close behind them, when Jason and Stuart determined they wanted to check their load, Jason made the risky decision to do so while the truck was still moving across the Australian desert at top speed. He simply swung the door open and hung out, checking both high and low at their load from his vantage point. The guys behind their truck could scarcely believe what they were seeing.

"Good way to see if we've lost anything or not," he said after climbing back in. "Not on this side, I didn't see anything." Unfortunately, checking the other side would be a lot more difficult as Jason is kind of busy driving over there.

The competition continues on "World's Toughest Trucker," Mondays at 10 p.m. EST on Discovery.
