Car Drives Wrong Way On Scottish Road At 70 MPH (VIDEO)

WATCH: Man Drives On Wrong Side Of Road At 70 MPH

When finding themselves driving the wrong way on a busy road, most people would likely panic. But this man seems to relish the opportunity.

A stunned eyewitness captured this footage of a motorist driving on the wrong side of a dual carriageway near Glasgow, Scotland. The driver hit speeds of up to 70 miles-per-hour on his joy ride, according to the Daily Record.

"He actually turned and waved at me when he spotted me filming it on my phone," one witness, who declined to give his name, told the Daily Record. "I could see him smiling and looking at me as cars went shooting by him with their horns going."

There were no reported injuries or accidents, according to news.com.au, though one witness told the Daily Mail that things could have gotten ugly.

"If drivers coming towards him hadn't been so quick to move there could have been carnage," the witness told the Mail. "It would only have taken someone to change a radio or glance away for a second and the result would have been proved horrific."

Police are investigating the incident.

The Scottish Sun notes that the YouTube video's description incorrectly labels the road the B767, when it is actually the A726 by Newton Mearns, near Glasgow.
