Congratulations, Al Jazeera!

I'm always impressed by their coverage of a wide variety of topics that never get covered in mainstream American corporate media.

Unfortunately, there's no such thing as a "mainstream liberal elite media." It doesn't take a genius to figure out that some media outlet owned, operated, controlled, and funded by a hand-full multinational corporate conglomerates can never be truly liberal!

That's why I always supplement my news with Al Jazeera, Russia Today, and Democracy Now!

You'll never hear CNN having a critical, in depth, and discussion on the Neoliberal schools of economics that have driven economic development globally for the past 30 years. MSNBC won't even do that.

You'll be hard-pressed to find ANY mainstream news outlet criticize American foreign policy because even programming on the notoriously "liberal" NBC is brought to me by Lockheed Martin- a major military contractor.

I'm glad to have access to alternative media!

Y'all deserve this award. Refreshing that politcal news is not your TOP headlines like here. US "news" portrays politics at the top of the hour news.

Al Jazeera makes SUN TV 'News' look like a kid pretending to be on TV behind a cardboard box.
Just started watching (Al Jazeera) recently, truly balanced and thought provoking, without the hysterical hype.

And without the internet, we would be stuck with a constant dose of buy this buy that and politics is the only news.

An hour with Al -Jazeera and one will know every important issue in the world for that day.

I am amazed by the amount of journalists they have. Last night they had one reporting from a small town in Patagonia in Chile.

Dear HuffPost:

I would be helpful if you could spell out what RTS stands for. Not all of us are in the know or acronyms experts. A few RTS I've found: Reformed Theological Seminary, Regional Transit System, Resistance Training Specialist & Risk Theory Society, among many.

Congrats to Al-Jazeera English for winning this RTS-thingy award. Love AJE. Thank you.

But you still cannot get it on cable in most of the nation.
Guess it wouldn't serve the interests of the wealthy who own the media that we get another point of view.

The RTS or Royal Television Society is basically a group formed in 1927 to talk about television. So quite old and esteemed.
