The 2012 James Beard Foundation Award semifinalists have been announced and Colorado's love (obsession) with great food is well represented on the prestigious list.
Some of Denver's finest foodies have advanced to the semis -- personalities from Olivea, Rioja, and Fruition are listed in various categories and Frank Bonanno's incredible work with Bonanno Concepts is also listed and should come as no surprise.
Outside of Denver, Peak Spirits in Hotchkiss landed in the Outstanding Wine & Spirits Professional category -- a proper nod to this certified organic, biodynamic, local ingredient distillery. Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder also got a nod in the Outstanding Wine Program.
