JK Rowling: 10 Potential Titles For Her Upcoming 'Adult' Book

The news came today that JK Rowling is working on a new book for "adults," and publishers are already attached.

The title and release date for the book are unknown, but Rowling has ensured readers that the subject matter will be "very different" from the "Harry Potter" series.

Rowling has said in the past that she's looking forward to working on new projects that are significant departures from the "Harry Potter" world, but most of her diehard fans will likely need more convincing. To ensure that nobody assumes they're buying another "Potter" book, here are 10 title suggestions Rowling can take or leave as she wishes.

I'll read JK Rowling when her writing improves, which will probably be never. Her novels are full of unnecessary filler, and her characters all seem to speak with the same voice. There are many great writers like Alison Lurie who are not well known in pop culture but are far more appealing to literate adults.

Maybe you might want to realize this book was written by a British person, for British people. Then, you can stop being such an elitist snob.I don't claim her writing to be the best there is, but it got lots of people, adults and kids to read.

Well, I can see that somebody had an assignment to put together a slide show/story and didn't have any original ideas.

Yes, I feel that I just wasted a minute of my life. However, the person with the assignment probably wasted a lot more of his/hers.

Me too. Now I can't remember why I clicked on the article. One usually needs to know what the book is about before giving it a title though many use a working title which may or may not be the title. The cover of my book is done and the title is there though it may not end up as THE title. I have two endings and I don't know which to use and want to make that decision myself and can't come up with a third ending. I make about as much sense as the article I'm replying to:-)

What is it with HP and the stories dissing successful artists? Andrew Lloyd Webber is unmercifully dissed for the sequel to "Phantom" and Rowling is dissed for her new novel before anyone has even read it. Typical liberal slant, drag down anyone who is successful in their field.

Really? REALLY? It was the wingnuts who were calling her books a gateway to Satanism, the last I heard.

How about these two ideas:
1) Cash Grab
or
2) Disappointed adults confused as to why they can't find that carefree innocent feeling they had when they were 14.

"Perry Hawter and the Lucrative Franchise".

Maybe she should break away from the HP series more gradually. Maybe with some feature articles about things she can identify with.
