17-Year-Old Recreates the Top 10 Movie Moments of All Time...with Legos! (VIDEO)

It's days away from the Oscars, and that Hollywood excitement is in the air. It seems to be affecting some of us more than others, though. A 17-year-old student from Surrey has recently embarked on an astounding mission: Recreate the 10 best scenes in all of movie history out of Legos.

The resulting short is an exaltation of film magic for both film buffs and Lego enthusiasts alike. There is Lego violence, Lego romance, even sexy Lego Marilyn Monroe (something we thought we'd go our lives without ever seeing). How many of the film classics can you recognize? Please let us know your favorite parts in the comments section.

You can make your own building blocks with throw away wood scraps thrown away by people remodeling and a table saw.

I was fortunate enough to buy lego when it was cheap, i could never afford it now. For me it's the lego trains. I wish i lived in Europe, I'd be all about the 12v trains, lucky EU'ers.

Lego's aren't too expensive if you buy plan brick kits. It's the themed kits with large, pre-molded pieces that are outrageously expensive (and seem counter to the point of Lego anyway).

I use Bricklink or ebay, as i love the 1980's and 1990's sets. I agree with you about the big pieces, but i do love te vacuum formed bases.

This seems like one of those "let's not and say we did" kind of projects - you would think of it when high or drunk but of course never go through with it.

Cool and fun. The Indiana scene was the best. I love the lego star wars canteen with Eddie Izzard. Worth watching on youtube.
