Rick Santorum: Obama Is 'A Snob'

Rick Santorum took a swipe at the president's higher education push on Saturday.

"President Obama once said he wants everybody in America to go to college," Santorum said. "What a snob.”

The GOP candidate was speaking to a crowd of Tea Party activists in Troy, Michigan.

“Not all folks are gifted in the same way,” he explained. “Some people have incredible gifts with their hands...there are good decent men and women who go out and work hard every day and put their skills to test that aren’t taught by some liberal college professor trying to indoctrinate them. Oh, I understand why he wants you to go to college. He wants to remake you in his image. I want to create jobs so people can remake their children into their image, not his."

His comments echoed remarks he made on Friday, calling colleges "indoctrination mills."

As the Washington Post points out, Santorum's criticisms are curious considering his three advanced degrees. He holds a Bachelor's, a law degree and an M.B.A.

Obama is currently pushing a plan to make college more accessible by reforming federal student aid and providing incentives for colleges to keep their tuitions under control. He first introduced the initiative in his State of the Union speech.

Ricky needs to get his facts straight. It's as if the Church isn't an "indoctrination mill" when indeed it is. He's leaves no doubt in anyone's mind that the Church is indeed one that indoctrinates its people.

Yesterday I was watching the news, and they showed the clip of him calling Obama a snob and making the college comments, and then they showed the crowd cheering and clapping...

Wow..

Even my 10 year old sister said, "Why are they cheering? I thought everyone is supposed to go to college?"

As intelligence and brain advancement have brought man to their level of functioning and dominance over other primates in their habitat, I never thought I’d see the day where one promotes humanity reversing progress and reverting to the caves. Should such a movement occur, humanity is doomed and will become extinct. Natural selection does not value cave man ideologies and this is clear as they died off. Humanity has only progressed because intelligence and brain enhancement became desirable and functional traits. The only thing that gives us advantage over many animals is our brain capacity. Way to incite the sheep Mr. Santorum. Good work. Take mankind back to the dinosaurs and they will be writing about our civilization 1000 years from now as that ancient group of people who had so much talent, ability and brain power but died off because of stupidity. Santorum is a threat to evolution.

Santorum is no longer a candidate for the republican nomination. He's become a theologian and a philosopher. He should drop out of the race and establish his version of a weird advocacy group and become an activists. He doesn't belong on the debate stage, he belongs leading a protest group with signs advocating his brand of radical idiocy. When the smoke clears, the only thing Santorum will be remembered for is political suicide.
