The first day of spring is less than a month away -- and winter just decided to show up!

It's been a wildly warm winter across the U.S. For many states, the 2011/2012 season will be one of the top 10 warmest on record, if not the warmest. As of February 21, this will be Chicago's tenth warmest winter, Detroit's sixth, Milwaukee's sixth, and Washington D.C.'s fifth, according to

Rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, tornadoes and snow were expected to hit much of the U.S. due to a storm system moving in from the Midwest, the AP reported Friday.
