Mitt Romney On Auto Bailout Targeted By AFSCME In New Ohio Ad

AFSCME Hits Romney On Auto Bailout In New Ohio Ad

The powerful public sector union AFSCME is going up with another television advertisement that criticizes Mitt Romney for opposing the auto industry bailout.

The spot, titled "Romney's World," will air in Ohio (which is home to many auto suppliers) and has $350,000 behind it, an AFSCME official tells The Huffington Post.

The union has gone after the former Massachusetts Governor in other states, including extensive advertising in Florida on Romney's background in private capital. And its continued investment in the Republican primary underscores two interesting features of the election: First, that unions aren't going to wait until there is a GOP nominee to start defining him; and that groups allied with the White House seem to be operating under the notion that the Obama campaign won't need them to save their money until the general election.
