Karlie Kloss Paris Fashion Week 2012: Is A Major Moment In Store?

The fashion world's been buzzing with rumors these days, so we figured why not throw some wood on the fire?

With three out of four weeks of Fashion Month down, we still haven't heard a peep out of Karlie Kloss. The 19-year-old model, who has dominated Fashion Weeks past, dropped out of New York Fashion Week last minute, with CNN's Alina Cho tweeting, "HEARING: @karliekloss cancelled all catwalk appearances in NY for a big opportunity... #nyfw #backstagepass #cnn"

We surmised that perhaps Karlie scored a London Fashion Week exclusive walking for Burberry, after she clearly expressed her interest in the brand to Vogue UK. But London Fashion Week has come and gone, as has Milan Fashion Week this week, with no sign of Kloss.

But we might get our dose of Karlie yet. Earlier today, Next Models, Karlie's agency, tweeted a photo with the caption:

The model board @NextmodelParis! #pfw is about to go down!

In the pic: a model board with 42 models' photos, with Karlie Kloss' face sitting smack dab in the middle.

So is Karlie in Paris? Maybe. On Sunday, editor/author/general fashion insider Derek Blasberg tweeted, "Feeling smug... While my fashion friends are working it in Milan, I'm getting a pedi with @KarlieKloss. Gettin' my toosties ready for Paris!"

We're guessing the pedis took place in New York, but if Blasberg is prepping for Paris... perhaps Karlie is, too?

I am sure Ms. Kloss is absolutely fantastic and deserves all the success which has come to her, but I want to live for the day when people put the same amount of effort into obsessing about a scientist or literary artist or philanthropist who is changing the world. Nonetheless, I wish Ms. Kloss all the best.

Well, I can't get enough of Karlie, so I hope she is hitting Paris. She's by far my favorite model these days. She's so delectable.
