Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2012: The Better Red Carpet? (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: The Better Red Carpet?

Like the rest of the world, we had our sartorial eyes glued to our TVs on Sunday night to see Hollywood's A-listers show off their finest gowns at the 2012 Oscars. But to be honest, the dresses were a little... bland for our tastes.

Not to worry though! We've found a more exciting red carpet: the annual Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, where stars popped over 400 bottles of champagne to celebrate their big wins.

Several celebs took advantage of the more casual atmosphere to change out of their Oscar gowns and don a second look, like Shailene Woodley, who ditched her controversial Valentino for this lovely Proenza Schouler dress. Jennifer Lopez also pulled a switch and traded her headline-making Zuhair Murad gown for a low-cut bronze dress.

Some of fashion's big names made appearances as well, including Rachel Zoe, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Victoria and David Beckham and new Sports Illustrated cover girl Kate Upton (who posed next to Tim Tebow).

And then there was the style, which -- dare we say it? -- topped the Oscars in creativity, especially Rosario Dawson's bright colors, Serena and Venus Williams in vivid hues and Zoe Saldana's gorgeous black frock.
