Steven Tyler Weighs In On J.Lo Oscars Controversy, Talks Aerosmith On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (VIDEO)

Who better than a rock star to bring in for expert analysis of a potential wardrobe malfunction? And who better than Jennifer Lopez' rock star co-star on "American Idol" than Steven Tyler. On "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Jimmy Kimmel handed Tyler a photograph of Lopez from the Academy Awards, where her supposed "wardrobe malfunction" became the most-watched -- via DVR playback -- moment of the entire telecast.

Tyler took an inappropriately long time to look at the picture, generating a few laughs, before declaring," That would... not be it."

Later, Kimmel talked to him about getting phone numbers from girls, but Tyler revealed that he more often experiences a very different encounter, and one that's already been scene this season on "Idol." He tends to get his bottom squeezed by the ladies, and perhaps most recently at an Oscars after-party.

"I'm standing there talking to a good friend of mine and Erin Brady, my girlfriend-soon-to-be-wife, and I feel someone grab my a**," he said. "And it's Cloris Leachman!"

He then talked about getting back together with Aerosmith, which involved mending a few fences along the way. Tyler talked candidly about touring with ZZ Topp, during which he was back on drugs and because of this impairment, he fell off the stage and wound up needing several surgeries.

"The guys were angry at me, rightfully so," he admitted. "But I'm back and I'm on fire." The band is working on a new album, their first since 2004's "Honkin' on Bobo," and expects to release it in mid-2012.

Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez can be seen as judges on "American Idol," Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox. "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is seen every weeknight at 12 a.m. EST on ABC.
