Tom was the annoying but faithful and loyal neighbor who so wanted to be a part of the cul-de-sac crew on "Cougar Town" (Tue., 8:30 p.m. EST on ABC) for the first two seasons. He's become a much more regular, and tolerated, presence in more recent episodes. This week, viewers finally learned a lot more about him -- and as it turns out, a lot more than the gang even knows.
After Travis injured himself dog boarding (a dog and a rope, patent pending), they couldn't understand why Tom was giving them news about his condition, or even at the hospital. They were stunned to learn that he was the cheif neurosurgeon there. Other things no one knew about Tom was that his last name is Gazelion and that he has two kids. The writers could certainly have a lot of fun exploring more about Tom that nobody seems to know -- maybe he'll have led the most interesting life of the entire gang.
Travis' head injury was yet another barrier between Grayson and the affection and attention he was needing from Jules. The first was that Jules was currently AWATT -- All Wedding All The Time.
He and Andy equated men's needs to baby's needs: Give them attention when they want it and leave them alone when they want. That's why Andy's taken to going to dog parks to get love and attention from the dogs.
