DPS Teachers Get Money Back In Pay Cut Settlement

DPS Settles Emergency Manager Suit With Teachers

Teachers and other unionized employees of Detroit Public Schools won back part of wage and benefit cuts in a court settlement Wednesday with Emergency Manager Roy Roberts.

The deal is with the Detroit Federation of Teachers and two other unions that sued Roberts last summer after he broke collective bargaining agreement through the state's Emergency Manager law to impose a pay cut and health care increases.
